Construction method

The Wave tenders were designed by Robert Woudenberg and Patrick van der Meer in collaboration with a highly renowned ship designer from Friesland. Based on stability and power calculations and sailing simulations from special computer programmes, each type of Wave has been designed.

In addition, every first aluminium prototype commissioned by The Dutch Wave has been extensively tested by very experienced skippers who have put the boat, motorisation and other components through their paces. After extensive consultation with these experts, and minor modifications, each prototype is approved for official production.
